Body Fat Identifier Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 24, 2026

Body Fat Identifier is an adults-only wellness app that creates approximate visual body-fat estimates from information you choose to provide. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information you provide For a check-in, you choose or take front, side, and back photos and enter your height and weight. Age and sex are optional. You may also add a journal note. The app stores your photos, measurements, reports, and notes locally on your device, or in your browser if you use the web version. Journal data does not sync between devices. Information sent for AI analysis Before each report, the app asks for your permission. If you agree and submit the report, the app sends the three photos, height, weight, and any age or sex you provided to the Body Fat Identifier report server hosted by Render. The server sends those photos and details to Google Gemini to generate the estimate and observations. Your journal note is not sent to Google. The report service uses a request identifier and an anonymous session token to process requests, prevent duplicates, limit abuse, and recover interrupted requests. Network connections also provide technical information, such as your IP address, to the hosting provider. We do not sell check-in information or use it for advertising. Storage and deletion The report server does not retain photo files. It caches generated report text for up to 24 hours to recover interrupted requests. It retains request identifiers, hashed request fingerprints, and anonymous session records for duplicate prevention and service operation. The app keeps your journal data locally until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete local check-ins in the app’s Settings and request deletion of cached report text. Deleting cached text does not delete information already processed by Google. Google’s handling and retention of that information are governed by the terms that apply to its Gemini API service. Service providers Render hosts the report server and processes information needed to deliver an analysis request. Google Gemini processes the photos and details described above. Google’s applicable Gemini API terms describe its handling and retention of prompts, images, and responses: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms Subscriptions are handled through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat. They process app-specific identifiers and purchase or subscription information to manage access and related services. Photos and journal notes are not sent to RevenueCat. We require service providers that process personal information for us to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable data-processing terms. Your choices You choose whether to select photos and whether to consent to sending them for each report. You may decline; an AI report cannot be created without sending the information described above. Do not submit another person’s photos without their permission. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Security and age Production report requests are sent over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Body Fat Identifier is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Changes and contact We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Information We Store

Body Fat Identifier stores your tasks, lists, reminders, and settings locally on your device using an on-device database. Body Fat Identifier does not require an account and does not upload your task content to our servers.

Notifications

If you choose to use reminders, Body Fat Identifier asks for notification permission so your device can show local reminder notifications. Reminder content is scheduled on your device.

Backups, Export, and Import

Body Fat Identifier lets you export and import backup files. Backup files may contain your task, list, reminder, and settings data. You choose where to save or share those files, such as Files, AirDrop, email, or cloud storage.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Body Fat Identifier Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and Google and may be managed with RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process purchase information, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, app user identifiers, and device or app information needed to provide and restore Pro access.

What We Do Not Do

Third-Party Services

Body Fat Identifier may use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and platform app stores for in-app purchases. Their services may process purchase-related data under their own policies.

Deleting Your Data

Because Body Fat Identifier stores task data locally and does not create user accounts, deleting the app removes the local app data from your device. Export a backup first if you want to keep your tasks.

Children's Privacy

Body Fat Identifier is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
